Il Podere Salicotto, a soli 3 km dall'antico borgo di Buonconvento, è immerso in un paesaggio di rara bellezza, in cima a una collina, di quelle belle colline tipiche delle Crete Senesi, gentili e rotonde, con vista mozzafiato a 360°. La natura ha una potenza straordinaria, è il massimo che si possa desiderare.
Amiamo il frinire delle cicale e il soffio potente del maestrale, l'unica colonna sonora qui è il canto degli uccellini. 'The Sound of Silence', questo sconosciuto. A volte struggente a volte assordante. Ascoltarlo è talmente raro da sembrare un miracolo. E' un casale rurale di inizio 800 e ristrutturato nel 2004 nel rispetto delle sue caratteristiche originarie. Il podere è costituito dalla casa principale, in parte abitazione dei proprietari Silvia e Paolo e in parte destinata all'ospitalità turistica e da un fienile. Silvia parla inglese e tedesco con naturalezza e accoglie gli ospiti con la spontaneità di chi riceve amici in casa propria in un ambiente molto accogliente, a dimensione familiare, in un'atmosfera informale e rilassata. Il servizio al cliente è caloroso e discreto, attento e accurato. Nella casa principale abbiamo 6 Junior Suites molto accoglienti ed arredate con gusto, tutte con confortevole bagno privato e aria condizionata.
E' disponibile inoltre una Superior Suite al piano alto dell’ex fienile, con una vista superba. Potete oziare in un ambiente sereno, appisolarvi sul prato, assaporare un buon calice di vino e una bruschetta, godervi il tramonto, immersi nei colori e nei profumi della natura, il fresco accanto alla piscina.... E dimenticare per un po' gli impegni che verranno. Ci fa piacere fornirvi le informazioni che desiderate sulle sagre, i mercatini, gli spettacoli, i concerti e gli eventi organizzati nella provincia e nella città di Siena, o suggerirvi splendidi itinerari alla scoperta di borghi antichi, castelli e monasteri, colline e boschi, vigne e campi coltivati.

Between us we speak fluent English and German (as well as our native Italian!). We like to provide our guests with a warm and informal environment in which they can feel like friends of the family. We enjoy taking care of our guests and looking after their particular needs without imposing ourselves in any way. The complex of buildings, consisting of the main house and the barn, dates from the early 19th century and was restored in 2004 to its original design. The main house is divided between the part we occupy and the part which contains the rooms for our guests. In the main building we have 6 very comfortable Junior Suites with twin/king size beds. All suites are furnished in appropriate style and have a private luxurious bathroom and air-conditioning. Also available is a Superior Suite above the barn which has a particular splendid view. There are so many ways to relax! You can relax and read that book you have been wanting to read for so long in a peaceful ambience, try the excellent local wines with accompanying bruschetta, enjoy the sunset surrounded by the colours and perfumes of nature or just keep cool beside the swimming pool. We have all the information you will need about festivals, markets, concerts and entertainment offered in and around Siena.
